With 100 members currently, and the highest member retention rate in Canada, the Greater Calgary Chapter is poised to have the greatest growth amongst Canadian MPI Chapters.

With the programs in place to actively recruit corporate members and students in the Greater Calgary area, we also have an outreach to an additional 300 non-members who are Meeting Professionals in the area.

Marketplace Opportunities

$150 Members, $250 Non-Members

We have responded to our members’ needs with providing more marketplace and networking opportunities throughout our 2009-2010 year.

Each event will have a small marketplace, consisting of up to four (4) organizations plus sponsors. The marketplace will consist of hosted tables (which may be banquet tables, cocktail rounds or dinner rounds depending on the event.)

Attendees will be encouraged to visit each Marketplace table and enter their business cards at each table for a draw prize with each table they visit. The draw prize will be a $100 gift card to Chapters-Indigo. Marketplace organizations may also contribute draw prizes.

Silent Auction Opportunities

The Greater Calgary Chapter holds two (2) silent auctions throughout the year. This is an excellent opportunity to allow MPI members to learn more and possibly visit your business.

Silent Auctions are held at our Holiday event (November 2009) and our Summer Solstice Event/Sponsor Recognition (June 2010). Contributions are highlighted on the GCC Chapter website prior to the event for additional exposure of your product.

50% of all proceeds from our Silent Auctions will be donated to our Chapter’s designated charity.
